NEW DELHI / ASANSOL: Bringing pride to West Bengal and the city of Asansol, renowned author and educator Sourav Chakraborty has been conferred with the prestigious “Bharat Gaurav Samman 2026” in the Best Author category. The grand ceremony took place in New Delhi under the recognition of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, NITI Aayog, by N Group .

The honour was presented in recognition of his remarkable literary contribution, dedication towards education, and efforts in promoting cultural and social awareness through literature. The organisers also awarded him a Certificate of Excellence for his vision of building a more informed and empowered society through impactful writing.

The recognition came largely due to the growing influence of Mr. Chakraborty’s two widely discussed books that have gained attention both in India and abroad.
