- Winter Relief Campaign Reaches Over 700 Needy Individuals Across the District
Hazaribagh: In a heartwarming initiative, the Hazaribagh Youth Wing has set a commendable example of community service through its ongoing Winter Relief Campaign. On Sunday, the organization distributed 200 blankets to underprivileged individuals near the old Panchayat Bhawan in Pundri, Besh, and Katkamsandi. Launched on the first Sunday of December, this campaign has so far distributed over 700 blankets and aims to extend its support until February 2025.
The campaign focuses on providing relief to the underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society during the harsh winter months. With a weekly target of distributing 200 blankets, the initiative seeks to cover both rural and urban areas of Hazaribagh district, ensuring that no one is left to endure the cold unprotected.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandra Prakash Jain, the campaign’s patron, emphasized, “This initiative is not just about distributing blankets; it’s about fostering a spirit of cooperation and service in society. Winter is particularly harsh for those without adequate clothing, and our goal is to ensure no one suffers due to the lack of resources.”
Karan Jaiswal, president of the Hazaribagh Youth Wing, added, “Our Winter Relief Campaign is aimed at reaching those most affected by the cold. It’s a message of solidarity and service, ensuring that no one faces the brunt of winter alone. We plan to continue this initiative across the district until February 2025.”
Local residents have lauded the Youth Wing’s efforts, noting that such initiatives bring a positive change in the lives of the marginalized. The distribution event saw active participation from community members, panchayat representatives, social workers, and volunteers.
The campaign will continue next week, targeting other areas in Hazaribagh.
