As India celebrates Children’s Day on November 14, a day dedicated to honoring the innocence, joy, and boundless curiosity of childhood, actor Rohit Choudhary took a moment to share his own cherished memories and reflections on the formative years that shaped his journey.
Reflecting on his own childhood, Rohit fondly recalled time spent with his father, particularly the moments they spent playing together. “All my memories where I used to spend time playing with my dad are very special to me,” he shared, adding that these moments were invaluable in building a close father-son bond.
Like many children, Rohit’s ambitions changed over time. But one aspiration remained constant—he wanted to be like a king, inspired by his father’s words: “My father used to say, ‘Beta, you are my king.’” This sentiment of being cherished and valued left a lasting impression on him, fueling a sense of confidence and ambition that he carries to this day.
The actor believes that one’s upbringing and value system, regardless of financial circumstances, fundamentally shape character. “How you grow up, and the values instilled in you, are what shape your character,” he explained, noting that these core values have guided him through his career and personal life.
Rohit strongly advocates for children to explore creative fields such as acting, music, art, or sports. “It’s important for children to pursue creative or physical activities that keep them in a learning phase,” he shared. According to him, this kind of engagement helps children develop discipline, curiosity, and resilience, while also keeping them focused and away from unhealthy habits.
One of the most important lessons he carries from his childhood is simple yet profound: “Live and let live.” This mantra, he explained, has been a guiding principle in his life, allowing him to foster compassion and understanding toward others.
Reflecting on what he would tell his younger self, Rohit offered valuable wisdom: “Make mistakes, learn from them, and try not to repeat them.” Emphasizing the importance of learning from one’s experiences, he encouraged the idea of embracing growth and resilience as part of life’s journey.
