This role, which marks Sheena’s Hindi debut, opposite Subodh Bhave , directed by Aditya Om, has been a transformative experience for her, both personally and professionally.

Sheena fondly recalls her first Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai after embodying Avali. “There’s something magical about watching the city come alive during this time. The decorations, music, and prayers are all heartwarming. One of my favorite traditions is joining the evening aartis. The energy, faith, and joy of the devotees are contagious. It’s a moment where I feel deeply connected to the community—something I look forward to every year.”
With the upcoming release of Sant Tukaram, this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi holds a unique excitement for Sheena. “This Ganesh Chaturthi feels different, almost as though I’m celebrating it alongside Avali herself. The devotion, duty, and reverence for Lord Ganesha resonate more deeply now that I’ve lived through her story,” she says with a smile.
