Thiruvananthapuram witnessed a proud literary moment as human rights activist and acclaimed author Dr. Kamal H. Muhamed received the prestigious Satyajit Ray Film Society Award for his internationally acclaimed autobiography, Daring Prince. The award ceremony was held at the Surya Ganesham Auditorium, graced by the presence of India’s literary and cultural dignitaries.

Dr. Kamal’s Daring Prince was named the Best Autobiography of 2024 by the Satyajit Ray Film Society. The event was inaugurated by Bharat Vibhushan awardee and cinematic legend Shri Adoor Gopalakrishnan. The Malayalam version of the autobiography, titled Dheeranaya Rajakumaran, is available on Amazon and is earning wide appreciation from readers and critics alike. It has received the G.K. Pillai Award and is shortlisted for the Sahitya Sparsh Awards 2026.
