Sudhir Saxena Secures Bronze at National Kickboxing Championship in Raipur, Continues to Inspire a Generation

Raipur, Chhattisgarh – July 22, 2025: In a powerful display of perseverance, skill, and spirit, India’s celebrated kickboxer Sudhir Saxena clinched a bronze medal at the prestigious Seniors and Masters National Kickboxing Championship held from July 16 to 20 at the Balbir Singh Juneja Stadium in Raipur. Competing against some of the nation’s finest martial artists, Sudhir’s performance stood out for its resilience and determination.

Back in the Ring, Back on the Podium

This isn’t Sudhir’s first time making headlines. Having already represented India on international stages and earned accolades abroad, his return to the national circuit was met with anticipation—and he delivered. His fights were a testament to years of disciplined training and strategic mastery, culminating in yet another podium finish for his decorated career.

“Every bout is a reminder of where I come from and what I fight for,” Sudhir said. “I wear every medal for my people, my supporters, and the dreams I still carry.”

Guided by Mentors, Powered by Faith

Sudhir was quick to express gratitude toward the mentors and friends who have helped shape his journey. He extended special thanks to Mr. Vijay Singh Sisodia, whose presence and support in Raipur meant a great deal during the competition.

His longtime coach, Yoginder Singh, played an instrumental role in his preparation. “Without Yoginder sir’s sharp guidance and training methods, my growth as a fighter would not have been possible,” Sudhir remarked. He also acknowledged the constant encouragement from Mr. Vijay Kumar, AGM of Punjab National Bank (PNB)—a friend and mentor who has supported Sudhir’s ambitions through every milestone.

Family: The Silent Force Behind the Fighter

Behind every successful athlete is a family that believes, sacrifices, and stands tall. For Sudhir, that strength comes from his father, Mr. Suresh Saxena, whose values and discipline laid the foundation for his character. His wife, Priyanka Gautam, remains his pillar of strength, offering unwavering emotional and moral support through every challenge.

“Their belief in me never wavers, even when mine does. That’s the real victory,” Sudhir shared emotionally.

Support Beyond the Arena

Sudhir also thanked Punjab National Bank not just for their recognition but for supporting athletes who strive outside of mainstream paths. The continued encouragement from institutions like PNB helps athletes like Sudhir pursue excellence while also giving back to society.

In addition, he expressed gratitude toward Mayank Madhur, Mahesh Verma, and Summit Chaudhry for their ongoing encouragement. Their faith in Sudhir has been vital in keeping his morale high.

From Ballia to the Nation’s Stage

Born and raised in Lahasani village, Ballia (Uttar Pradesh), Sudhir’s journey began in modest surroundings. With little access to infrastructure or support systems, his rise to national and international acclaim speaks volumes about his willpower and purpose.

His commitment extends far beyond the ring. Sudhir has worked actively across India, especially through NGOs and grassroots initiatives, to promote sports, youth training, and social upliftment. Gauravi Foundation remains a key ally in his philanthropic efforts, and Sudhir continues to build programs that reach the underserved and underrepresented.

What’s Next?

Though he’s just stepped off the mat in Raipur, Sudhir is already planning ahead. He has his eyes set on upcoming international tournaments, determined to convert bronze into gold for India. Simultaneously, he continues work on launching kickboxing academies for young talent in small towns and rural areas.

A Symbol of Grit, Giving, and Greatness

Sudhir Saxena’s journey is more than just about medals—it’s about meaning. In every match, he carries the hopes of his village, the support of his mentors, and the strength of his family. With every step forward, he paves the way for the next generation of Indian athletes who dare to dream beyond limits.

Once again, India salutes Sudhir Saxena—not just for winning bronze in Raipur, but for being a true warrior of sport and society.
