Four-day design showcase to feature student collections, the Stock Room initiative, and a grand fashion finale
Mumbai, 20th July 2026: The JD Design Awards 2026, the celebration of creativity, innovation and young designers, is to be held at Mumbai an initiative by JD Institute of Fashion Technology. The four-day event, which will take place from 20th to 23rd July 2026, will feature student and industry exhibitors, buyers, and design enthusiasts coming together to celebrate the next generation of creative minds.
This year, the Mumbai edition will begin from 20th July at The Bombay Art Society where the Stock Room, , an initiative introduced this year to provide students with an opportunity to showcase and sell their creations directly to buyers. Designed to inspire entrepreneurial thinking among students and will provide them with real-world experience of consumer preferences, market trends and the business aspects of the design industry. The day will also see the participation of the reputed designer Mozzez Singh who will interact with the students and share his experiences in the designing world.
The showcase will now continue on 21st and 22nd July at The Bombay Art Society. Interior Design, Visual Communication and Luxury Department students will showcase their innovative ideas, design solutions and creative renditions on various spaces. The two-day event will demonstrate the students’ grasp of functionality, aesthetics, sustainability and the changing trends in interior design.
The four-day celebration will culminate in a grand fashion show on 23rd July at 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the St. Andrews Auditorium, Mumbai, where the students will be displayed on the ramp showcasing their creativity, technical skills and changing perceptions on design.
With the guidance and mentorship of Mr. Yogesh Dalal (Trustee, JD Institute of Fashion Technology) and Dr. Payal Dalal (Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology), JD Design Awards continues to empower students to bring out their creative talent and expose them to the industry while building their confidence to take a stride in the design world.

As part of the pan-India initiative by JD Institute, the Mumbai edition of JD Design Awards 2026 aims to give emerging designers a platform to interact with industry experts, get an exposure and realize their concepts and make them work in an effective manner.
