Indulge in a delightful prashad recipe crafted by Masterchef Shipra Khanna, celebrating the festive spirit of Janmashtami with a traditional touch.

As the festival of Janmashtami approaches, renowned Masterchef Shipra Khanna brings to the table a special sweet recipe, blending tradition with a touch of luxury. This Janmashtami, prepare to delight Lord Krishna with a delicious prashad made from milk, jaggery, and an array of rich dry fruits, all topped with edible gold leaf.

*Ingredients:*
– Milk: 500 ml
– Jaggery: 3/4 cup (adjust to taste)
– Homemade Condensed Milk: 1/2 cup
– Almonds: 10-15 pcs
– Cashew: 10-15 pcs
– Walnuts: 10-15 pcs
– Makhane: 1/2 cup
– Desiccated Coconut: 1/2 cup
– Melon Seeds: 1/4 cup
– Flax Seeds: 2 tbsp
– Edible Gold Leaf (Golden Work) for garnishing

*Method:*
1. In a kadai, combine milk, jaggery, and homemade condensed milk.
2. Simmer the mixture, stirring frequently to prevent burning, until it reduces to one-fourth of its original volume.
3. In a separate pan, heat desi ghee and fry almonds, cashew, walnuts, and flax seeds until golden brown; set aside.
4. Heat 1 tbsp of desi ghee in another pan and roast makhane, desiccated coconut, and melon seeds until lightly golden.
5. Once the milk mixture has reduced, add all the roasted ingredients to it and mix well.
6. Transfer the mixture to a lined tin, then top with desiccated coconut, fried dry fruits, and a luxurious layer of edible gold leaf.
7. Allow the prashad to cool and set completely before cutting into pieces.

*Cooking Tips:*
– Stir the milk mixture often to avoid burning and ensure even reduction.
– Roast the dry fruits, flax seeds, and other ingredients on low heat to prevent burning and enhance their flavors.
– Reduce the milk to a thick, pudding-like consistency for a rich and creamy texture.
– Use fresh desi ghee for roasting to elevate the flavor of the prashad.
